For loans taken out before September 2012. Fixed interest rate of 1.5%.

Plan 2
For loans taken out from September 2012. RPI + up to 3% interest.

- • Repayment rate: 9%

Postgraduate Loan
For Master's degrees and postgraduate courses. RPI + 3% interest.

- • Repayment rate: 6%
- • Write-off period: 10 years
Plan 5
New plan from 2023/24. RPI + 3% interest with updated thresholds.
- • Threshold: £22,372
- • Repayment rate: 9%
- • Write-off period: 40 years
